A coffee table is a versatile piece of furniture that can serve as a centerpiece in your living room, a place to put your feet up after a long day, or a convenient surface for snacks and drinks. If you're looking for a unique and stylish coffee table that will add character to your home, consider building one yourself with these woodworking plans.

This coffee table features a raised top that provides additional storage space for magazines, books, or other items. The table is made from sturdy pine wood and features a simple but elegant design that will complement any décor.

To build this coffee table, you will need the following materials:

  • 1x6 pine boards (for the top and bottom of the table)

  • 1/2-inch plywood (for the raised top)
  • Wood glue
  • Nails
  • Screws
  • Finishing nails
  • Sandpaper
  • Polyurethane

Once you have gathered your materials, you can begin assembling the coffee table.

1. Cut the 1x6 pine boards to the following lengths:

  • 4 pieces at 48 inches long
  • 2 pieces at 24 inches long
  • 2 pieces at 18 inches long

2. Cut the 1x4 pine boards to the following lengths:

3. Assemble the top of the coffee table by gluing and nailing the 1x6 pine boards together. Make sure that the boards are flush with each other and that the edges are straight.

4. Assemble the bottom of the coffee table by gluing and nailing the 1x6 pine boards together. Make sure that the boards are flush with each other and that the edges are straight.

5. Cut the 1/2-inch plywood to the size of the top of the coffee table. Glue and nail the plywood to the top of the table. Make sure that the plywood is flush with the edges of the table.

6. Attach the legs to the bottom of the coffee table. Glue and nail the legs to the bottom of the table, making sure that they are evenly spaced.

7. Sand the coffee table smooth. Apply a coat of polyurethane to the table to protect it from scratches and stains.

Your coffee table with raised top is now complete! Enjoy your new piece of furniture.
