Swivel Coffee Table DIY: A Step-by-Step Guide

Materials You'll Need:

1 sheet of 3/4-inch plywood (4 feet by 8 feet)
1 sheet of 1/2-inch plywood (4 feet by 8 feet)
4 casters (3 inches in diameter)
1/2-inch drill bit
Phillips head screwdriver
Wood screws (1 1/4 inches and 2 inches)
Wood glue
Sandpaper
Paint or stain (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut the Base

Cut four circles out of the 3/4-inch plywood, each with a diameter of 18 inches.

Step 2: Cut the Top

Cut four circles out of the 1/2-inch plywood, each with a diameter of 24 inches.

Step 3: Assemble the Base

Use wood glue and screws to attach the four circles together to form the base of the table. Make sure to align the edges of the circles flush with each other.

Step 4: Attach the Casters

Drill four holes in the bottom of the base, each 1 inch from the edge and centered on the sides of the circles. Insert the casters into the holes and secure them with screws.

Step 5: Assemble the Top

Use wood glue and screws to attach the four circles together to form the top of the table. Make sure to align the edges of the circles flush with each other.

Step 6: Attach the Top to the Base

Center the top of the table on the base and secure it with screws. Make sure to countersink the screws slightly so that they don't protrude above the surface of the table.

Step 7: Sand and Finish

Sand the entire table with sandpaper to remove any rough edges. If desired, you can paint or stain the table to match your decor.
