How To Make Your Own Height Adjustable Desk

Materials:

2 x 4s (8 feet long)
3/4 inch plywood (4 feet x 8 feet)
1/2 inch plywood (4 feet x 8 feet)
Casters (4)
Screws
Nails
Wood glue
Finishing nails
Paint or stain (optional)

Tools:

Circular saw
Drill
Screwdriver
Hammer
Clamps
Measuring tape
Level

Instructions:

1. Cut the 2 x 4s to the following lengths:

4 x 24 inches
4 x 36 inches
4 x 48 inches

2. Assemble the frame of the desk by attaching the 24-inch 2 x 4s to the 36-inch 2 x 4s with screws. 3. Attach the 48-inch 2 x 4s to the top of the frame with screws. 4. Cut the 3/4 inch plywood to the following dimensions:

24 inches x 48 inches

5. Attach the plywood to the top of the frame with screws. 6. Cut the 1/2 inch plywood to the following dimensions:

24 inches x 6 inches
36 inches x 6 inches
48 inches x 6 inches

7. Attach the 24-inch x 6-inch plywood to the front of the desk with screws. 8. Attach the 36-inch x 6-inch plywood to the back of the desk with screws. 9. Attach the 48-inch x 6-inch plywood to the sides of the desk with screws. 10. Attach the casters to the bottom of the desk with screws. 11. Paint or stain the desk if desired.
