Build a Low Coffee Table: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Gather your materials

You will need the following materials:

1x4 pine boards (8 feet long)
2x4 pine boards (8 feet long)
1/2-inch plywood (2 feet x 4 feet)
Wood glue
1-1/4-inch wood screws
Sandpaper
Stain or paint (optional)

2. Cut the wood

Cut the 1x4 pine boards into the following lengths:

4 pieces at 24 inches
4 pieces at 16 inches

Cut the 2x4 pine boards into the following lengths:

2 pieces at 24 inches
2 pieces at 16 inches

Cut the plywood into a 24-inch x 16-inch rectangle.

3. Assemble the frame

Apply wood glue to the ends of the 2x4 pine boards and attach them to the 1x4 pine boards to form a rectangle. Make sure the 2x4 boards are flush with the edges of the 1x4 boards. Secure the joints with 1-1/4-inch wood screws.

4. Attach the plywood
